In November 2024, we helped plant saplings in one of the largest logistics complexes in the Czech Republic, the Amazon Dobrovíz distribution centre (Panattoni Park Prague Airport). We have provided complete asset and property management services for the international owners of this property for ten years. And biodiversity support is an important part of our work.

After all, a logistics park is more than just an array of buildings. The plot around the distribution centre is grassed. Instead of mowers, we keep a flock of sheep and goats that continuously graze on these green spaces. Between spring and autumn each year, we also set up beehives on the premises and bottle dozens of kilograms of honey during this period.

The distribution centre in Dobrovíz, with a total leasable area of 135,000 m², was built by Panattoni and is located on the western outskirts of Prague. It holds a BREEAM international environmental certificate, with a rating of ‘Excellent’. Its score of 76.8 % in 2015 was the highest ever achieved by a completed Amazon project worldwide. In terms of sustainability, particular attention was paid to heat recovery, the use of LED lighting sensors, the installation of meters for all utilities to manage and optimise energy consumption, an intelligent building management system (BMS), and maximum water conservation.
